Bottle Gourde

Lagenaria siceraria 

Also known as Calabash. 20-40 cm fruit, ripen into hollow woody structures which can be made into bowls, toys, instruments or birdhouses. They will harden over winter in a warm, dry spot. If mould appears, gently scrape off the upper layer of skin and dry fruit quickly.

Sow in April or May and keep under cover, provide a string or other support to allow the plants to climb. 

Average 10 seeds per packet.
