Buckwheat

Buckwheat Fagopyrum esculentumAn annual crop which is easy to grow and is useful grain for pancakes and porridge. It is unrelated to ordinary bread wheat so it is gluten free. Chaffinches like it too, which is why some of the seeds are a bit battered looking. However, it is germinating well.
