Latuca Sativa Capitata

I was introduced to this variety by friend and fellow grower from England Pete Dolliemore. It is an old commercial variety from the 00’s  and recommended by NIAB at the tieme. It is a Batavian red with a lovely texture and taste and in trials was found to be strong against basal rot, bolting and tipburn.

Shelf life is also very good. High Resistance to bremia 1-26,28,31,Pb. Has grown well in Co.Clare for a few seasons without any issues.
