Yellow squash shaped like a rugby ball. This pumpkin stores well and makes hearty winter vegetable dishes. When baked for about 40 minutes the flesh will pull out in long spaghetti-like strands, which are a great substitute for actual pasta and absorb flavours well.
SowMarch/April on a sunny window sill or propagator, or outdoors in May/June, when soil is warm. Harden off well before planting outdoors. Harvest before frost.
