Achillea Cloth of Gold

Yarrows come in a variety of different colours, from white and yellow to shocking pink. Their flat flower heads contrast wonderfully with their dark green, feathery foliage, and make the perfect landing pad for insects. They’re particularly attractive to hoverflies

'Cloth of Gold' _ 'Cloth of Gold' is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with light-green, finely divided leaves. From late summer to early autumn, it bears flat umbels of golden-yellow flowers.

Sowing:

Achillea needs light to germinate, sow the fine seed onto the surface of a moist, free draining compost into plugs or trays. Cover the seeds with a very fine layer of vermiculite, and cover trays with polythene to retain moisture until the first seedlings appear.

Germination:

Germination takes around 7 days at 15 to 20C.
