Crown Daisy

A fast-growing, edible leafy green with delicate serrated leaves and cheerful yellow-and-white daisy blooms. Crown Daisy is widely used in Asian cuisine for its aromatic, slightly tangy foliage. It grows well in cooler conditions and is suitable for sowing throughout spring and autumn.

Sowing:
Direct sow outdoors when soil is 10–20°C. Sow seeds 0.5–1 cm deep in rows or broadcast lightly over prepared soil. Keep moist for uniform germination.

Planting:
Thin seedlings to 15–20 cm apart for leaf production or 25–30 cm for flowering. Prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil.

Harvesting:
For greens: begin cutting young leaves when plants reach 10–15 cm tall, harvesting continuously for tender growth.
For flowers: cut when petals are fully open for best colour.

Fertility Recommendation:
Light to moderate feeder. Work compost into soil before sowing.
