Description: Westland Winter is a Curly Kale variety. It is easy to grow and can withstand growing outside over Winter. It has dark green leaves that become sweeter in taste when they are exposed to frost.

Sowing: April to June

Harvesting: September to January

How To Grow Westland Winter Kale From Seed: Sow your Kale seeds thinly, directly outside in rows that are 70cm apart and cover with 1.5cm of damp soil.

After about 6 weeks, when the plants are established, thin them to leave a spacing of 50cm between each plant. After this, Kale does not need much maintenance as it is very strong.
