White Gold is an heirloom variety of bright leaf tobacco developed in the 1950's by the Coker Seed Company. It produces leaves 14"-16" wide and up to 25" to 30" long, with an average of 18 leaves per plant. It reaches maturity early at only 50-55 days with leaves ripening shortly after blooming occurs, making it a good choice for short season growers. It air cures to a light brown with yields of approximately 3 oz of dried leaf per plant.
