This is an unusual french bean not only because of its yellow colour, but because the length of the beans themselves which are around 10 inches long or more! Also the pods are flattened with wavy edges, so it has a very attractive appearance and keeps its colour when cooked. I grow it for a local restaurant.
It is very prolific and the germination is particularly good. It also grows quickly. I have only grown it in a polycarbonate greenhouse, but it could be grown outside in a very sheltered area.
It has quite a mild beany taste, so those who are not keen on french beans may like this variety.
