A stunning heirloom beefsteak tomato known for its golden-yellow skin streaked with red and orange. Ananas Tomatoes produces large, aromatic fruits with a meaty texture. Excellent for slicing, salads, and fresh eating.
Sowing:
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost in warm soil (18–22°C). Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep and keep evenly moist until germination.
Planting:
Transplant into Greenhouse after frost risk has passed and night time temperatures remain above 10°C. Space plants 50–80 cm apart with sturdy support. Plant deep—burying part of the stem—to promote root development.
Harvesting:
Harvest when fruits are fully coloured and slightly soft to the touch. Best flavour develops when allowed to fully ripen on the vine. Handle gently due to thin skin.
Fertility Recommendation:
Benefits from rich, organic soil with high biological activity. Mix compost into planting holes and feed with a balanced organic fertilizer at transplanting. Avoid excessive nitrogen, which encourages leaf growth at the expense of fruiting.
