Tumbling Tom Cherry Tomato

This is a particularly compact plant ideal for hanging baskets and tubs and also ideal for the novice grower.

Like all tomatoes it will benefit from some soil enrichment if grown in a container; I use well rotted pony manure and chicken poo pellets.

They are very productive for such a small plant and you should find about 6 plants will provide a household throughout the summer, expecially if you stagger the sowing times.

I dont eat tomatoes myself but I can confirm they are very juicy and appear to have some splitting resistance compared to other mini tomato varieties I have grown.

What I particularly like about this variety (apart from the production) is the fact that once potted you can just leave it to get on with its own thing and it does not need pruning or faffing with, other than watering and periodic fertilizer. It also seems to be particularly bright red coloured as compared to some red types which have a washed out appearance.

I suspect this may do well outside on a sheltered patio away from the wind, but I have only grown it in a polycarbonate greenhouse and front porch.

Price for 30 seed.
