"Giant x Mexican" sunflower

This seed, I was given by American seed guardian,  Giant Sunflower crossed with a Purple-Seeded Heirloom Sunflower, the first generation (F1) hybrid displayed traits inherited from both parent plants. Typically, F1 hybrids exhibit uniform characteristics due to the controlled genetic mix, often resulting in vigorous growth and possibly unique combinations of height, flower size, and seed color.

The seeds produced from F1 plants (known as F2 generation)which are the guys that I'm making available now, will exhibit greater genetic diversity. This is due to the recombination of genes during reproduction, leading to a wider range of traits in the F2 plants. These traits could include variations in plant height, flower size, seed color, and other characteristics that were not as evident in the F1 generation. The F2 generation provides a rich pool of genetic diversity, which can be selected for desired traits in future breeding efforts. All of this is a natural process of cross breeding from open pollinated seed.

This could be an interesting Sunflower for next year.
