This fantastic chilli hails from the Czech Republic although I originally sourced it from Realseed in the UK before I moved to Ireland several years ago. It grows to around 4 feet tall.
It is of moderate hotness, but the best thing about it is its really fruity taste; it also has thick walls so it tastes really crunchy and succulent. I prefer to eat it green in salads and on pizza etc, but its lovely when ripe red colour and the fruits take on a glossy hue to the skin. It also freezes really well in ziplock bags.
The plants were hugely productive in the terribly wet summer of 2023. The fruits are also much larger than most chilli peppers to boot. If you can only have one chilli, this is the one!
