Daisy-like cosmos flowers are easy-to-grow and versatile annuals. They can be used to plug gaps in borders, grown as a feature in their own right or as part of a container display. The flowers attract a variety of bees, butterflies and hoverflies, and also make a good cut flower.
Cosmos bipinnatus 'Purity' bears masses of pure white, single, saucer-shaped flowers, in contrast with bright green, feathery foliage. It makes a great planting partner for dark-flowered dahlias and chrysanthemums, and both its flowers and foliage work well in cut flower arrangements. For best results grow Cosmos bipinnatus 'Purity' in moist but well-drained soil, in full sun. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage repeat-flowering.
