My Flower Garden Seeds

Lychnis coronaria

Lychnis coronaria is a superb plant for a sunny border. A short-lived perennial, it forms clumps of silver felty leaves, which make a pleasant backdrop to bright magenta

Lychnis coronaria is an excellent bee and butterfly plant with a single, wide open flower which is easy for pollinators to access. Very well suited to wildlife or cottage gardens.

Sow between April - July on a warm window sill into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on. Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.

Germination should occur in about 3 weeks. Remove the plastic bag after the seeds have germinated. Keep the seedlings evenly moist. After your last frost, you can transplant your seedlings into your garden.

Quantity: 100 seeds approx.
